According to one internet research, Pinterest is the first place to visit when someone is looking for wedding planning inspiration and ideas. So, no matter what kind of wedding site are you – wedding planner, wedding florist, wedding photographer or wedding blog, Pinterest can be one of the most powerful tools for promoting your wedding business organically (for free, without ads). But today, Pinterest is crowded with wedding content and it is full of competition. In this guide, as an experienced Pinterest Manager, I will figure out how to build a Pinterest marketing strategy to reach your target audience as a wedding business on Pinterest:

  1. SEO Optimization for Easy Discovery: Pinterest is a search engine and SEO optimization of your wedding profile name, your bio, your board names and your pins description matter! Start the optimization process with a clear and beautiful cover of your wedding brand, captivating profile picture and SEO optimized title and bio. It is not enough to name your profile as your business name: talk directly to your audience by telling what kind of wedding business are you exactly and use broader keywords. Name your boards with broader wedding related keywords. Add wedding inspirational boards for your audience. Putting your name there on the right way is the first impression for any Pinterest user you will attract.

Create Beautiful Wedding Pins: While for other niches Pinterest prefers pictures with text overlays, in the wedding niche you can experiment by adding direct pictures from your wedding portfolio or posts (if they are vertical size). You can find the growing trends and use this information to create content for your site or keywords for your pins if you already have trending wedding blog posts.
  4. Use the Right Pinterest Wedding Strategy: Pinterest likes the blog content and the pinners are loving to find detailed information to about what they are looking for. So, your Pinterest strategy is related to your content strategy – plan a wedding blog on your site related to trending searches.
